Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Childhood memento from the very early hockey career of sure-fire future HOFer Martin Brodeur. Martin ranks up at or near the top of many NHL record lists for goaltenders but when he used this old Martinville decades ago, few had any inkling of how far young Brodeur would go. Wrapped in white tape at the knob and paddle but none on the blade (which has a "33" screened on it), the stick shows nice use that includes some heel and bottom blade wear. Comes with a letter of authenticity signed by Martin's father, famed photographer and former goaltender Denis Brodeur (dec. 2013), stating that this stick was used by Martin while playing in the minor or junior leagues in the region of Montreal.
