Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
A silver medallist with the Czechoslovakian National Team at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, Jaroslav Benak wore this jersey while skating with his Czech elite league team Dukla Jihlava in the late-1980s, early-1990s. Tagged with the Finnish manufacturer “Tackla” and size “XXL” in the collar, this burgundy-plus gamer has screened-on logo and numbers, with Benak’s name placed on a sewn-on nameplate. Game wear shows in a board burn on the front hem, along with marks on the collar and both sleeves, including an unrepaired hole on the right sleeve. Nice gamer from a fellow who laced up with Czech, Finnish, French, and German elite teams between 1982 and 2002.
