Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Extremely rare game stick used by Hockey Hall of Fame Soviet netminder and star of the 1972 Summit Series, Vladislav Tretiak, during the mid to late-1970s. The toned Koho 231 Pro Superflex model goalie stick is taped with black "bulldog" on the handle and across the blade and has the factory-stamped "Tretjak" identifier up on the handle. Loads of wear on this one with dozens of black stick and puck marks with areas where the taping has ripped along the blade from contact with skates or careening pucks. No cracking or damage to note and the red-striped accent taping on the paddle is intact. A pale, but easily legible, Tretiak autograph is located below the Koho graphics on the handle. These wonderful Tretiak game sticks pop up only once every few years... grab this one now!
