Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
More 90-year old treasures originally from western Canada are up for grabs here, with all cards including a stamp on the reverse after being sent to Winnipeg’s Paulin Chambers Company back in the day, in exchange for either a hockey stick or a box of chocolates, before being returned to the sender. The high bidder will receive VG+ 3.5 examples of #3-Jack Hughes and 33-P.C. Stevens, while Hall-of-Famer Duke Keats, (#45), leads a group in VG 3 holders. The others are 14-Dub Mackie, 65-Bobby Benson and 68-Charlie Reid. Extensive research reveals that Paulin’s first hockey card effort actually began in 1924-25.
