Interesting group of complete sets here spans four decades and dates back to the mid-1960s and a set of Coca-Cola cards. Still in intact accordion-style panels, the six team sets show some handling/wear, notably on the outer goalie cards and are in the EX neighborhood. A set of six colorful big (10-1/2” x 14-1/2”) pictures honoring the ’65-66 NHL First All-Star Team are on pebbly paper and had to be sent away for, with an original Weekend Magazine edition picturing Howe, Hull, Hall, Mikita, Pilote and Laperriere also present and including the send-away form revealing that the special sets could be had for a dollar apiece! Pinholes at the four corners of Howe and Hull are to mention, with a small stain also affecting the latter and light, mostly peripheral and not-too-detracting bends affecting all. Post Cereal representatives are a 28-card standup set from ’81-82 and a set of 336 mini cards in 21 panels from ’82-83, both in tiptop condition. Metal cards from the Highland Mint and done up in the ‘90s include a bronze version of Wayne Gretzky’s Topps rookie card (#d to 5000), while silver editions of Gordie Howe and Bobby Orr cards from a Legends series are 4.25 Troy Ounces .999 Fine Silver affairs and each limited to 1000. A similar bronze card of Orr is also included. Completing is a 385-card set of OPC parallel cards which came in 1995-96 Topps packs – surely a painstaking task to piece together back in the day! Lots of possibilities with this nifty booty.
