Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Wonderful images to check out while contemplating these two men’s places in history are offered with their Imperial Tobacco lacrosse cards. Known as the first goalie of the Montreal Canadiens and later a team owner, Joe Cattarinich is a Hockey Hall of Fame “Builder” who is described as “one of the best point players in the game” on the back of his (EX 5) card. Hall of Fame goalie Clint Benedict meanwhile, won Stanley Cups with the Senators (3) and Maroons and was the first NHL netminder to wear a mask, with his VG-EX 4 card revealing that he was also a goalie in lacrosse. A swell pair!
