Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
This large vintage photograph is a studio-mounted montage of the 1919-20 Club Hockey Villemay, an amateur hockey team situated across the St. Lawrence River from Quebec City that won the championship of "la cite et du district de Levis". The montage displays photos of the team's 13 players and 13 administrators, along with a photo of the team mascot, a young child, alongside its championship trophy, the Coupe Thivierge. The name of the studio is printed in the bottom right of the photograph, although it is difficult to identify. The vintage 10" x 13" print is attached to its original cardboard backing, which measures approximately 15" x 20". A nice opportunity for collectors of early Quebec amateur hockey history and vintage team photos.
