Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Fine Detroit Olympia program from the 1945 Stanley Cup Finals, a series that saw the Red Wings storm back but fall just short after being down 3 games to 0 but edged 2-1 in game 7, thus allowing the Leafs to sip from Lord Stanley’s mug. This Olympia program measures 8 ½” x 11”, with the 32 pages complete with not a mark or crease to mention, although some slight damage to the cover’s corners and edges are to mention, and the middle lineup page has come slightly loose. An important program to be sure, and although undated, would be from games 1, 2, 5, or 7, which were held in Detroit, with the Red Wings boasting the likes of Lumley, Lindsay, Quackenbush, and Seibert, while Toronto had McCool, Pratt, Kennedy, Schriner, and Stanowski in their lineup.
