Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
From the New York-based team that was in existence from 1925 to 1942 is this rare and delightful two-piece metal lapel pin with the top banner-shaped part reading as “NY Americans” and the bottom showing a red, silver, and blue hockey player. Measuring 2” from top to bottom, this cool little memento from the defunct team shows a touch of wear to the lettering and along the player’s top right arm, and has age wear on the backside, but all in all is in nice condition and one you might never see again. The New York Americans ceased operations after a combination of player shortages during wartime and long-standing debts.
