Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
A high-flying member of Buffalo’s vaunted French Connection Line of the 1970s, right wing Rene Robert became the Sabres’ first 100-point scorer with a 40-goal, 60-assist effort in 1974-75. Dazzling like Robert did with linemates the late Rick Martin and HOF center Gilbert Perreault, this stunning bauble was presented by the Sabres to Robert to commemorate his decade in Buffalo. A big blue stone on the tableau is surrounded by “Buffalo Sabres NHL” on the bezel. The right shank features a banner inscribed with the years “1971-1980” and Rene’s number 14. The other side has Rene Robert and R.W. above a sculpted player. “10K” is stamped inside the size 10 band of this beauty that weighs approximately 26 grams and is wonderfully preserved with only light surface scratches. Comes with a Classic Auctions LOA.
