Leaf fans in particular, and those who simply appreciated behind the scenes glimpses of the dollars and cents aspect of hockey, will love these Standard Player's Contracts involving 4 NHLers in the 1970s and '80s. Offered is Leafs goaltender Ron Low's 3-year contract for 1972-73, '73-74, and ''74-75, with all the necessary info handwritten on the paper that measures 8 1/2" x 17", and signed on the back by Low and Leafs GM Jim Gregory, both in clear black ink. Forward Jerry Butler's 1978 contract was for 3 years, the relevant info is typed in, and at the bottom is signed by Butler, Jim Gregory, and John McLellan, who had previously coached the Leafs. From 1982 is forward Stewart Gavin's 2-year contract (1982-83, 1983-84), signed by Gavin and GM Gerry McNamara, plus John McLellan and Leafs d-man Craig Muni. League prez John Ziegler's stamp is also included. And from 1979 is the 4-year contract for Nordiques forward Miroslav Frycer (who would join the Leafs the following season), with the deal running from 1981-82 to 1984-85, signed at the bottom by Frycer and Nords president Marcel Aubut, both in blue ballpoint pen. An attached addendum is also signed in blue ballpoint by Frycer and Aubut. Butler's, Gavin's, and Frycer's documents measure 8 1/2" x 40" unfolded, and all have the NHL Registry stamp placed on. All 4 contracts remain in excellent condition with no issues aside from one minor crease on the edge of the Low paper.
