Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Bernie Parent teamed up with Jacques Plante in the early-1970s to give the Toronto Maple Leafs a Hall of Fame tandem in goal. “30 Parent” is stamped on the shaft as Jake the Snake wore his customary No. 1 with the Leafs, the number Parent would take when he returned to the Philadelphia Flyers on his way to becoming the first player to win consecutive Conn Smythe Trophies. Bernie’s original tape jobs remain on the knob, paddle and blade of his Sher-Wood game-used stick. Code “26172” is written on the bottom edge of the paddle. Solid game use shows in red goalpost paint transfer high on the back of the shaft and puck marks on the blade and paddle.
