Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
Worn by popular Leafs goaltender during the 1982-83 campaign is this great Leafs jersey, tagged in the collar as a “Maska” with a nearby washing instructions/size “50” flap. This gamer, that has a series of small marks scattered about including one on the team crest, also shows various material pulls, inside pilling, a substantial team repair on the front, and 4 more repairs on the back near the nameplate which has evidence of a former shorter nameplate. The sides of the hem have also been either repaired or reinforced. Featuring a loop-style fight strap, the jersey was recycled for Palmateer’s use after returning to the Leafs following a two-year stint in Washington, and was most likely previously worn by Bob Parent who had worn number “29" in 1981-82 and during the 1982-83 training camp. Nice gamer from a fine goalie, and comes with an LOA.
