Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014

What a chance to own a slice of history. From the Habs dressing room in the iconic Montreal Forum is this 13” x 15” brown wooden plaque with the Habs logo and the names of every player from the 1954-55 squad hand-painted on in white. GM Frank Selke and coach Dick Irvin head the list that includes Richard, Harvey, Geoffrion, Plante, Beliveau, Moore and company, and to add to the aura of it coming from the dressing room is the knowledge that this was the season when Maurice Richard was suspended by league prez Clarence Campbell for punching a linesman, which led to the notorious and infamous Richard Riot on St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th 1955. It was also Dick Irvin’s last hurrah as bench boss of the Canadiens. History oozes from this inch-thick dressing room plaque, and imagine having it on your wall now.
