Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
From Brett Hull's collection is this vintage game-used Northland wielded by Brett's dad's buddy Stan Mikita during the 1960s when the Bobby Hull/Mikita duo were making magic in their Hawks uniforms. This Northland beauty features Mikita's famous banana hook blade, as curved as can be, and which truly set the wave of curved sticks into motion. "Mikita" is stamped midway up the shaft, "21" is handwritten near Stan's typical "corndog" knob tape, and his original blade tape remains on the wildly curved blade. Stamped on the shaft, along with "Northland Custom Pro", is "Gunzo's" and "Larson" industry stamps. The shaft also retains its 3 accent stripes. An amazing stick from a player in his prime, and who would ultimately be inducted into the HOF in 1983. Comes with an LOA signed by Brett Hull.
