Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/4/2014
On October 24, 1996, Brett Hull of the St. Louis Blues would tally the 480th goal of his sparkling career during a game against Ed Belfour and the Chicago Blackhawks, and the stick he used is offered here, direct from Brett himself. Featuring original white tape and gauze knob and black tape on the blade, this gamer has a 9" strip of white tape applied to the lower shaft and handwritten on as "Oct. 24/96 #480 Chi 6 St. Louis 4 Belfour Campbell, MacInnis" (Jim Campbell and Al MacInnis assisted on the goal). A small scattering of marks line the shaft and blade, and on the blade's shaft under the fiberglass is what appears to be stamped as "Hull" and "Blues", although it's difficult to see exactly. Great gamer from the legendary sniper, and comes with an LOA signed by Hull.
