Vintage MLB postcards galore offered here, all b&w, all 3 ¼” x 5 ½”, including J.D. McCarthy postcards from the late-1950s/early-‘60s totalling 35 Yankees plus 1 Dodger – Don Drysdale, and include the likes of Sal Maglie, Bobby Shantz, Bill Stafford, Phil Rizzuto, Bob Richardson, John Blanchard, Duke Maas, Don Larson, Clete Boyer, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, and others. This lot is in nice condition with 5 cards having the player’s names handwritten on the back, and one – Tom Sturdivant, shows tape residue. We have 8 Pittsburgh Pirates J.D. McCarthy cards from the latter part of the 1960s including Bob Moose, Al Oliver, Bill Maseroski, Gene Garber, John Jeter and others, all in very nice, issue-free condition. There’s 25 Cincinnati Reds team postcards from the late-1950s/early-‘60s including Gus Bell, Ed Bailey, Frank Robinson, Johnny Temple, Vada Pinson and more, with cards unmarked but yellowed and curved from storage. Along with these are 41 St. Louis Cardinals team postcards from the mid-1960s including Ray Sadecki, Hal Smith, Daryl Spencer, Stan Musial, Curt Flood, Ken Boyer, Bill White etc., all in excellent condition. Also included are a scattering of McCarthy postcards including Ted Williams, Al Kaline, Ernie Banks, Chet Lemon, Mark Fidrych, Al Kaline and more, in nice condition aside from Paul Foytack which has a list of teams handwritten on the reverse, and Bob Kuzava which has his name handwritten on the reverse and a creased corner. An original JD McCarthy brown envelope is included. Rounding things out are four yearbooks – a 1959 Milwaukee Braves edition, complete with 48 pages (some yellowing on the cover), a 1960 Baltimore Orioles yearbook, complete with 48 pages, a 1960 Washington Senators (complete 48 pages), and a 1961 Minnesota Twins yearbook (complete 48 pages, with some yellowing on the cover). Lastly, a 1971-72 b&w Clinton Comets (hockey) glossy team picture measuring 5” x 7”, and 3 vintage wire service MLB photos from 1950 (with French descriptions).
