Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
The legendary Jackie Robinson, the man who historically broke baseball's color barrier in 1947, joined fellow 1946 Montreal Royals players Jean-Pierre Roy and Bob Fontaine in signing a piece of paper now displayed inside a vintage frame. Roy and Fontaine have both signed in pencil, while Robinson has signed "Jackie" in fountain pen and then switched to pencil for "Robinson". The framed Robinson/Roy/Fontaine autographed paper measures approximately 4" x 4" and has been beautifully set into a vintage frame inside a frame, measuring an overall 13 1/4" x 15 1/4". It's a wonderful display, and to mention is some of the burgundy material in the frame shows some bare spots.
