Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
The great Bill Barber, who would be inducted into the HOF in 1990, is the subject of this wondrous and original work of art created by artist Manone Lee Miller in 1975 (written in the bottom corner), a year in which the Flyers' smooth-skating sharpshooter would bag 50 goals. This original piece, showing Barber battling near the Minnesota North Stars net, measures a whopping 25 1/2" x 31" in its wood frame and matting, with the matting showing a few light areas of marks but the picture itself has been preserved magnificently, simply a jewel of an illustration, and more than ready to be hung and admired.
