Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Classic late-1980s Black Hawks gamer was worn by defenseman Kent Paynter, who played a pair of games for Chicago in 1987-88 and one more in the Windy City the following season. CCM size XL flag tag sits in the back of the neck and CCM logo with the R symbol is screened on the right rear tail. The Gunzo’s logo is screened on the left rear tail, with the goalie logo embroidered in red to the left. There is a small hole under the nameplate that shows inside the jersey so it may have been recycled for Paynter’s use. Game wear includes a black mark on the back of the upper left sleeve, blue paint transfer on the left elbow and a few more marks on the left sleeve, both tails, under the front collar seam and on the front of the right sleeve, which has a fabric pull below the lower white band. Black Hawks logo on the front and C Tomahawk patches on the shoulders all display fantastic cable stitching embroidery.
