Nice Flames alternate-captain’s gamer worn by Jeff Shantz when the center produced 31 points in 74 games during the 1999-2000 campaign, his third of four seasons in Cowtown. Tagged in the collar as a “Pro Player NHL Centre Ice Authentic” with an adjoining size “54” flap, this game-worn Flames jersey features the “NHL 2000” millennium patch sewn on the right breast and Shantz’s “A” on the left, while on the inside hem is a Flames “1999-2000 NHL Season Red Jersey #4 of 4” label printed on. Some substantial marks are scattered about, including a nice grouping on the upper right sleeve, more on the left, and various ones on the triple tackle twill team crest and lower front. Jeff’s double tackle twill letters are sewn on the nameplate. Shantz saw action in 642 regular season games in the NHL before heading to Europe where he wound down his pro career which ran from 1993 to 2011.
