Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
A force to be reckoned with in the Quebec Major Junior League and the top rookie in the AHL in ’83-84, Sabres 1982 draft pick Claude Verret could never truly find a home in the NHL and would suit up for just 14 games, including 11 in 1983-84, his rookie season, when he donned this game-worn Buffalo Sabres jersey. Tagged in the v-necked collar as a Maska with “48 size” handwritten on and a nearby washing instructions tag with “1983-84” handwritten on the reverse, this gamer has a double-cloth fight strap with “83-84” handwritten above, and there is faint evidence of a possible former nameplate. The left sleeve has small board burns, and a touch of puckering is on the team crest.
