Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Defenceman Mario Marois proudly wore the captain's "C" on the left breast of this Quebec Nordiques' gamer during the Battle of Quebec, the team's fierce rivalry with the Montreal Canadiens. The washed-out size 52 neck tag remains along with the jersey's double cloth fight strap. The tackle twill crest on the front is sewn on, while the captain's "C", and all of the fleur de lys, numbers and letters are heat pressed. This beauty of a gamer has definitely been to war as evidenced by a fantastic board burn along the left front hem that exhibits remarkable red paint transfer. Also to report are a hole to the left of the Nordiques crest, extensive team repairs all over the jersey, and more red paint transfer on the left shoulder and right sleeve.
