All-Star defenseman Paul Reinhart's photo-matched 1980-81 Flames game-worn jersey dates to the team's debut season in Calgary. Reinhart is wearing this jersey in a cover photo of the October 28, 1983 edition of the Hockey News, matched to the diagonal mark that starts down from the lower yellow band on the left sleeve, as well as to three distinctive black marks on the left front tail. The Maska and laundry instruction flag tags in the neck and double cloth fight strap remain, and the Maska logo is embroidered on the right rear tail. There are six team repairs and more great game wear includes pilling and black marks on the front tail and board burns with red paint transfer on the right hem at the hip. Comes with a MeiGray Vintage LOA and Certificate of Registration. Reinhart had 18 goals and 49 assists for 67 points in 74 games in his sophomore season after recording 47 points as an Atlanta Flames rookie.
A four-inch team repair on the upper yellow band of the front tail is among the three horizontal sewing fixes below the Flaming C crest sewn on in white, gold and red triple twill. There is also a chevron-shaped team repair on the right front. The two other team repairs on the jersey are on the left side of the back and on the lower right sleeve.
Crinkled white twill of the Flaming C crest is from repeated team laundering. Lower part of crest has two black marks and a nick on the inside edge of the red twill on the lower portion of the inner curl of the C. The back of the left sleeve exhibits four unrepaired cut/burn holes and both sleeves have marks and board burns, with a bit of red paint transfer on the right elbow.
