Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
HOF netminder Ed Belfour (inducted 2011) handled this CCM gamer when he was stopping pucks for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the early to mid-2000s after standing on his head in previous uniforms of the Blackhawks, Sharks, and Stars, and just before he would call it a career while with the Florida Panthers. This wood and graphite CCM beauty has Belfour’s original tape on the blade, knob, and just above the paddle, and marks make their way from the blade upwards, past the stamped “E. Belfour” to the knob where a strand of tape has come undone. Terrific game-used stick from a fellow who burst onto the scene and captured the Calder Trophy in 1990-91 for rookie of the year, had the league’s best GOA on four occasions, was twice the winner of the Vezina, a 3-time All-Star, and helped the Dallas Stars win the Stanley Cup in 1999.
