Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Nothing like some big-league goalie pads with lots of game-wear to get the blood flowing, especially when they were strapped on by one of the game's best, Roberto Luongo, during his final year with the Florida Panthers in his first go-round with the team. "Luongo" is stitched on the side of each of these "RBK" gamers, as are "Koho Lefevre" patches with the NHL logo. And these gamers weren't just used occasionally either, as marks cover both, wear to the material is on the bottom, and the "RBK" logos have faded a touch from battle action. Fully intact, you can strap them on and hit the ice if you want. Best of all, they've been photo-matched to at least 8 marks dating from November 17th 2005 to January 8th 2006 so Louie most likely wore these pads for the first half of the season. It’s always great when we can photo-match items, and with these Luongo pads, we can match up marks from one pad by the front RBK logo, a long black mark just above, and wear to the leather at the top. The other matches to a long mark in the middle, on the blue “RBK” on the edge, and two different marks above the “RBK Premier Series” in the middle.
