Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Production Line linemates and Detroit Red Wing legends Ted Lindsay and Gordie Howe team up here, with Lindsay’s 1951-52 Parkhurst rookie card housed in an “ACA” holder and graded VG 3 by the firm. Rather pronounced rounded corners are to note, but no visible/unsightly creases through the image itself, with a small crease spotted in the text in the lower right corner area. Considered one of the most attractive vintage hockey cards of all-time by many hobbyists, Gordie Howe’s ’63-64 Parkie here is an attractive VG to VG+ in our eyes, with a light, not-very-detracting horizontal crease in the flag near the top border, as well as a small light bend just above his number “9” which results in a tiny “back” crease. Decent pick-ups for a vintage Red Wings/card stash.
