Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
The rookie card of a Hall-of-Famer and another of a famous family member are up for grabs here, with Hooley Smith and Bob Boucher RCs both exhibiting evidence of once having been glued. Staining and light marks affect the front of the Smith card, with more on the reverse, although we cannot spot any creases. The card of Boucher, whose brothers included Frank, Buck and Billy and who actually won the Stanley Cup with the Canadiens the previous season, is a terrific-looking example from the front. Crease-free card has light glue residue on the back but otherwise would grade EX-MT or a tad higher. Rather attractive, technically low grade cards for Champ’s and pre-war enthusiasts to consider.
