Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
The sighting and offering of such a quantity of little hockey cards, cut from the backs of boxes of Bazooka bubble gum, is an infrequent occurrence that will surely excite hobbyists. Eighteen represents exactly half of the 36-card set, with the juicy details as follows. All have some type of condition issue but scarcity outweighs condition here. Although no cards have all four dotted lines still showing, #19-Unger, (small tape stain on reverse), is close and joined by (also) crease-free examples of 2-Mahovlich, 5-Richard, 7-Delvecchio, 17-St. Marseille and 32-Crozier, (tape stain on back), as the most eye-appealing. Perreault (#6), 15-Cournoyer and 16-Boudrias are also crease-free but with a tape stain on the front. Creased and completing the booty are 8-DeJordy, 13-Kurtenbach, 20-Bouchard, 21-Edwards, 33-Schinkel, 31-Tkaczuk, 34-Ellis, 35-Mikita and 9-Harris. The Mikita, (small tape stain on the reverse) and the Harris, (pen marks on the front) have additional flaws, but all-in-all, this group gets the juices flowing!
