Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Intriguing pre-war "Hockey Star Game" was offered to those who purchased OPC cards during the 1936-37 season, with the mailing envelope revealing that "5" coupons (wrappers) were sent in to get it, along with "5" cash, and that would be cents, not dollars! Colorful game board is a three-tier, spin-style game, with the Maple Leafs, Canadiens and Maroons mentioned. Measuring 10" square, the cardboard relic features multiple creases in the bottom (square) section and three tears; two from the edge to the middle circular section and another half-inch job along the top edge. Torn/tattered envelope reveals all was sent for two cents to a young lad in Hamilton. Fun, fun!
