Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Our consignor’s captivating and thought-provoking ensemble of cards issued by Montreal’s Maple Crispette Company concludes with, somewhat fittingly, a card of a guy who long skated for Montreal teams. After more than a decade with the Canadiens and being a member of that squad’s first Stanley Cup championship team in 1915-16, Louis Berlinguette was with the Maroons and nearing the end of his career when he finally got to appear on a hockey card. Card #30 here has been slabbed VG-EX 4 by PSA and is one of just 11 Berlinguette rookies to land at company headquarters for inspection. A pair of 6s and two 5s, the latter with qualifiers, are among those joining this Pop-2 on the PSA chart.
