Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

After contributing to the Toronto Arenas’ Stanley Cup title in the NHL’s first season and then playing a number of years in Vancouver, right winger Dutch Skinner returned east and suited up for the Bruins in 1924-25, appearing on this rookie card issued by Montreal’s Maple Crispette Company. One of the highest graded Skinner cards at PSA, this Pop-1 VG-EX+ 4.5 example is behind only one EX-MT 6 and one EX 5 with a qualifier. Skinner was traded that ’24-25 season from Boston to the Montreal Maroons and finished his big league career the following season with the Pittsburgh Pirates. This Skinner will contribute admirably to a big-timeMaple Crispette/pre-war stash.
