Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

We've handled a variety of Lord Stanley autographs in the past and this one provides a rare opportunity to obtain a truly scarce "Fred Stanley" signature for your collection. This gorgeous black fountain pen cut signature dates from the 1870s/80s and measures 2 1/8" x 3 3/8" with a snippet of writing on the verso. Wow – a signature that can be considered right up there as the rarest of Stanley sigs. Stanley of course went on to become the Governor General of Canada and donated the silver bowl that carries his name which quickly became and remains to this day the most coveted award in hockey. Bid like a champion for this distinctive autograph from the man who gave his name to the Stanley Cup.
