Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
A grand lot of 13 late-‘60s early-‘70s NHL game and practice pucks, obtained by our consignor as a kid when he went to St. Louis Blues games. As he mentions "As a post warm-up ritual, players would throw pucks to the fans..." He's inscribed on the back of the pucks on a piece of tape when and by whom received and includes 4 game pucks from the Blues (Joe Daley, Bill Brossart, Bob Plager, and Reggie Leach), and 2 Minnesota North Stars Stanley Cup Playoff pucks from Danny Grant (1972) and Doug Mohns (1971). The lot also includes practice pucks from North Stars (Bill Collins), CCM (Pat Quinn, Barry Wilkins, Larry Mickey) and Cooper - Dennis Kearns). Two other pucks are also included; a Leaside Kings and a Maple Leafs Rawlings with no tape/notes on them. Condition-wise sees most of these pucks with marks and chips out of them, along with markings on the decals.
