Varied collection of early-1970s hockey and non-hockey material which includes a nice Falstaff folder of 28 illustrated 1969-70 St. Louis Blues players and management that each measure 8 ½” x 11” in excellent condition and feature the likes of Glenn Hall, Jacques Plante, Al Arbour, the Plagers, Phil Goyette, coach Scotty Bowman, and others. There’s also a Vancouver Canucks first season (1970-71) yearbook in excellent condition with only some darkening of the cover to note, plus a Canucks pocket schedule and a little 2 ¼” x 3” 33-page Canucks hockey handbook from that inaugural season. Autographed pictures include 2 J.D. McCarthy Red Wings postcards of Marcel Dionne and Henry Boucha, with each signing theirs, and along with 4 postcard-size team issues that include signatures from Pat Quinn, Ernie Hicke, Jude Droin, and Syl Apps Jr. These pictures all have markings on the backs from being in a scrapbook, and some creasing and front marks are to note as well. There’s also a 5” x 7” b&w glossy signed by boxers Mike Spinks (in green ink) and Leon Spinks (in black ink), an Eatons Gordie Howe picture (8” x 10”) signed in fine blue ink by Howe (with paper tears on the front), a 5 ½” x 8 ½” b&w of footballer Joe Greene, signed by Greene, and a 7” x 8 ½” picture of Blues Steve Durbano nicely signed in blue ballpoint pen by Durbano. All or most autographed pictures have marks from scrapbook pasting. Also included is a 1982 Jet digest (66 pages), in fair condition with an inside page featuring a 6-year old Tiger Woods teeing off, with a caption that mentions that the young fellow hit a hole-in-one. There’s also an Oct. 1969 Canadiens magazine that measures 9” x 12” and is complete and intact with just a touch of edge wear. And finally, 2 Leafs-issued 3 ½” x 5 ½” pictures of Jacques Plante and Jim Dorey with facsimile autographs, and 10 envelopes with various souvenir price guides from early-70s Canucks (2), Leafs, Rangers, Sabres, North Stars (2), Red Wings, Flyers, and Seals.
