Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Having one or two old "The Hockey News" issues from the 1960s or '70s is always fun because they're such great reads, but when you have a whopping 450+, you're in a whole other stratosphere. In fact, if you read 'em all, you can honestly say you're pretty well an authority on hockey from this era. This gigantic batch of "The Hockey News", which begins with a few issues in 1961 but truly begins from 1962 and upward to 1975, remains in really nice condition with no flaws that we can see, aside from having mailing labels on each. And in doing an overall look-through, we see that the bulk of them come in consecutive runs, and because The Hockey News produces 34 issues per year, our total of 450, which has no noticeable duplicates, comes very close to a complete collection from 1962 to '75. Also included is a stack of newspaper clippings from the 1967 playoffs, plus full-page Weekend player pics and profiles that remain so popular and include 8 of the 12-part 1966-67 series, with Mahovlich, Beliveau (2), Mohns, Nevin, Martin, Stanley and Howell.
