Awesome collection of 15 Boston Garden programs ranging from 1931 to 1971 and includes 13 Bruins game-night issues, a Boston Celtics program, and a minor league Boston Olympics program. The programs are in various conditions, with many in exceptional shape, particularly the oldest one, the 1931 issue. Some programs are without the middle lineup page, but all are fascinating reads from over the years at the old Boston barn.
Complete and intact 64-pager is the Boston Garden program from Nov. 26, 1931, a night the Bruins shut out the Hawks 1-0, and this is a beauty of a vintage program, unmarked with no tears, in tremendously nice condition. From Dec. 11, 1934, in a game that saw Boston beat the New York Americans 4-3, comes this cool 32-page program in great condition, with only the middle lineup page loose from its staples, and a touch of dirt on the cover. The cover and middle lineup page are loose on the Jan. 1, 1935 Garden program from a night that saw the Bruins down the Rangers 5-2. The 32 pages are complete and mark-free. From March 20, 1938, a night the minor pro Boston Olympics hosted Montreal, with the 24 page program complete, intact, and mark-free, with only some creases and a touch of dirt on the cover. The Garden program from the 1938-39 season shows no lineup or team the Bruins played, but otherwise remains in great shape with all 32 pages unmarked and intact. Just a touch of edge wear, some slight creasing, and some dirt on the back cover are to note. From the 1950-51 campaign is a program featuring a Bruins-Hawks tilt, with all 32 pages complete and intact. This program has a few handwritten words at the top of a few pages, and some humidity stains are noticeable on many pages. Still in good shape with a ton of reading. The April 1951 playoff semi-final program between the Bruins and Leafs is in tremendous condition, with its 32 pages complete, intact, and mark-free, with just a slight tear in the top right corner. A nice Garden program from the 1956-57 campaign has Allan Stanley on the cover, with 22 pages complete and intact, although no lineup insert is included. Still a mighty fine program. A sensational program is the one from Oct. 13, 1957, a night the Bruins beat the Rangers 3-1, with all pages, including the lineup, complete and mark-free. The insert is missing from Jan. 1959 Garden program, although it appears it was the Rangers providing the opposition that night, with 22 pages intact, and with a few small handwritten words on a few pages and a slightly dirty cover. From Feb. 14, 1965 we have a Garden program for an NBA Celtics-Baltimore Bullets matchup with 30 pages, with some pages showing water damage and overall handling. Unmarked, complete, and in great condition is the Feb. 11, 1965 Garden program between the Habs and Bruins, a game which saw the Montrealers win 7-1. The lineup insert is missing from the Nov. 1966 Garden program, but otherwise is a nice 40-pager intact and mark-free. From Dec. 27, 1967 is a fine program from a Bruins-Hawks tilt, a game in which Boston won 7-2. A ticket stub has been affixed to the front cover, and the score has been handwritten on the lineup page, while players names have been written on another page. Still a great 44-page program. And finally, a Garden program from March 21, 1971 that saw the visiting Buffalo Sabres outlast the Bruins 7-5. This 64-pager is complete including middle lineup, with some pen markings on several pages and some pencil marks and dirt on the front cover.
