Howie Morenz and Aurel Joliat grace the Habs lineup on all four of these early-1930s Forum programs that include January 21, 1933 when the Bruins came to town; February 18, 1933 when the Habs hosted the Rangers; December 9th, 1933 when the Rangers again visited Montreal; and December 14th, 1933 with the Leafs providing the opposition. Always popular and getting more and more difficult to find, and curiously, the two earlier examples from the '32-33 campaign cost 10 cents, but a year later, when they were also bigger, they were only 5 cents, maybe because the Great Deprssion had really taken its toll. Just great programs and when you see the names, it's like looking at the Hall of Fame inductees list. All 4 of these vintage programs are complete, with the 2 examples from the ’32-33 campaign having 36 pages and measuring 6” x 9”. Both have loose lineup pages and touches of dirt and handling evidence on the covers, and the Feb. 18, 1933 issue has some small pencil marks on a few pages. The 2 from the ’33-34 season are 40-pagers, measure 7” x 10”, with pages intact but with a faint crease running from top to bottom. Great programs, and joining Morenz and Joliat are the likes of Shore, Clapper, the Cook brothers, Boucher, Seibert, Horner, Clancy, Conacher, and so many more. Awesome.
