Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
It was only 86 years ago when fans at the old Ottawa Auditorium shelled out probably a dime to see the visiting Toronto Maple Leafs led by Hap Day and Ace Bailey do battle with Clancy and Nighbor and the hometown Ottawa Senators. The Sens would top the Buds 4-1 on this November 20, 1928 evening, and we have a program from the night, a 7" x 10" grand old 8-pager, complete, intact, and with no tears or markings, making it a solid little gem, highlighted by young King Clancy posing on the front cover and chock full of Ottawa business ads that in itself makes for great reading. Hey, just across from the Leafs lineup we see that Ottawans could buy a 6-cylinder 5 passenger sedan for $1,290.00!
