Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
The Toronto Maple Leafs would win three consecutive Stanley Cups in the early-1960s, and it was that first one in 1962 against the defending champion Chicago Black Hawks that got things rolling and showed that this group, that included Bower, Horton, Keon and Mahovlich among the many stars, were an absolute force to be reckoned with. We have a MLG program from game 5 of that big series, held on April 19th, 1962, a game where the Leafs fired 8 goals into the Hawks net for an 8-4 win, setting up the 6th and final Cup-winning game three nights later in Chicago. With captain George Armstrong gracing the cover, this fully intact 80-page Gardens program has some wear on it, some creasing and general handling, and with a small tear on the right side, but all in all is a fine program from a historic series, with a ton of reading to keep you out of trouble for hours on end.
