Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014

Fantastic original Stanley Cup finals 16-page program dates from the 1937 showdown between the defending Cup champion Detroit Red Wings and the New York Rangers. Hall-of-Famer Jack Adams is pictured on the cover of this Olympia Stadium program, which is complete and fully intact, but with a crease running from top to bottom which is somewhat noticeable throughout the pages. The program, measuring 8 1/2" x 12", could be for any of games 2 through 5, which were all played in Detroit because of the Rangers' customary playoff scheduling problems at Madison Square Garden. The Red Wings won three of four on home ice to claim the best-of-five series, becoming the first American team to win the Cup in consecutive years.
