Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Dandy group here features autographs penned to pictures cut from programs or magazines. "To a Pal From a Pal" precedes Roy Worters' somewhat light signature on a folded-in-four 6" by 8" green-tinted picture, while a certain Morton Dawson was the recipient of swell personalized sigs of Ranger legends Frank Boucher (4 x 6) and Murray Murdoch (2-1/2 x 3-1/4). "Shrimp" Worters, a New York American for most of his career and the smallest player to ever play in the NHL at 5'3", was inducted into the HOF in 1969 and deceased in 1957, while "Gentleman" Frank Boucher, a 12-year Ranger, was inducted in 1958 and passed in 1977. Murray Murdoch, signed by Conn Smythe when Smythe was putting together the very first New York Rangers squad in 1926, skated in 508 regular season games with the Blueshirts.
