Wear with pride this Chicago Black Hawks mid-'70s player's warm-up jacket and pants, attributed to Germain Gagnon, who suited up for the Hawks in 1973-74, 1974-75 and 1975-76, and who would play a very respectable 259 NHL games in all. Tagged in the collar as "Gunzo's", with a size "L" flap, the zip-up jacket has number "14" sewn on the right breast while the Hawks crest is sewn on the left. The matching pants also has identical tags in the waist, with "14" sewn on the leg. Both nylon/polyester garments are in excellent condition with a touch of bleeding noticeable on the numbers, and some very small and faint marks in a small area of the pant leg. Walter “Gunzo” Humeniuk, whose sporting goods company has been involved with Hawks equipment for decades, was originally a trainer and backup goalie for the Detroit Red Wings in the late-40s/early-50s before joining the Hawks in the same capacity. He was part of the Wings Cup-winning team in 1950 and Hawks’ in 1961.
