Beep! Beep! You're going to have to be as quick as the Roadrunner himself with your bidding to gain the upper hand in the pursuit of Yvan Cournoyer's outstanding photo-matched 1977-78 Montreal Canadiens game-worn captain's jersey. From the height of the Habs' reign as the most dominant team in hockey in the late-1970s, this beauty was worn by the Hall of Fame right winger during what would prove to be his last full season with the Canadiens, one that culminated with Yvan hoisting Montreal's third of four straight Stanley Cups from 1976-79. Cournoyer chipped in 24 goals and 29 assists for 53 points in 68 regular season games, and added the final seven goals and 11 points of his playoff career to bring his playoff totals to 64 goals and 127 points in 147 games. Awesome Canadiens captain's jersey with Yvan's retired number 12 has Wilson size 42 tagging in the back of the neck. The photo matches are the placement of the numbers on the sleeves, the CH team crest on the front, and the captain's C on the left breast, as well as the extensive and elaborate team repairs on the right sleeve. The all-original nameplate remains in place and a "77" chain-stitched season patch is sewn inside the right front hem. Fantastic game wear also includes more team repairs on the front, back, left sleeve and left shoulder, as well as black marks, board burns, a pair of vertical fabric runs on the right front, and unrepaired burn holes on the sleeves. Awesome jersey worn by a 10-time Stanley Cup champion and one of the Canadiens' greatest captains comes with an LOA.
