Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2014
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/17/2014
Two medals and a pin are from the collection of deceased Hall of Famer and early hockey great Dickie Boon. "A Boy's Race won by R.R. Boon" is elegantly engraved on the early 1890s medal Dickie won for a City of Ottawa race, most likely for speed skating. It measures 1 1/4" in diameter. Also featured is Boon's Bickerdike Medal Runner Up medal from Montreal's Summerlea Golf Club, with that information engraved on the back and "Birks" stamped at the bottom. Also included is Boon's golf pin for The Canadian Seniors Golf Assoc., which was formed in 1918. Comes with a signed LOA from the Boon family.
