Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013

It was housed in the old Montreal Forum and later became the property of ex-NHLer Pierre Bouchard. The image of the Stanley Cup, applied to ¼” plywood and standing 31 ½” tall, from an earlier time, the 1950s, when there was still space on the mug for more teams and names. This wooden Cup has some roughness to its edges, with some chipping and with some of the image breaking free of its glue, but remains a cool piece that would look sensational on display. Pierre Bouchard would garner five Stanley Cups during his career, while his dad Emile would collect four in his lifetime, so we can see why he would treasure such a souvenir from what was possibly Canada’s most storied hockey rink.
