Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
An intriguing array of baseball personalities signed this "Official League" baseball which features a "Souvenir of Coooperstown, NY - Home of Baseball" stamp and "76" added nearby in blue ballpoint. The sweet spot is signed by umpire Cal Hubbard, the only person elected to the collegiate and professional football Halls of Fame (1962, 1963), as well as the Baseball Hall of Fame (1976). Fellow umpire Jocko Conlon's signature is inverted and makes its way into the sweet spot area, while alone on separate panels are the sigs of Joe Cronin and Warren Spahn. Filling the panel to the left of "Official League" are the blue ballpoint autographs of, in order, Robin Roberts, Bill Dickey, Ken Keltner (one of the best defensive third baseman of the 1940s with Cleveland), Early Wynn and Bob Lemon. A Letter of Authenticity from James Spence and a COA from Global Authentication will accompany this interesting treasure.
