Wonderful assortment of 30 Olympic and sports medals, crests and cuff link set, from Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame and B.C. Sports Hall of Fame inductee Dr. Bob Hindmarch, and which includes a nice 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics participation medal, a Sarajevo Olympics organizers medallion mounted on wood, plus a Sarajevo Press pin, a commemorative medal from the first World Cup Men's Downhill in Canada held at Whistler, and medals from amateur and collegiate hockey, among others. Throw in Russian, Seoul, and various other tidbits and you have a nice international collection. Also included is a Kokudo Keikaku Ice Hockey Club tie-clip and cuff links, and Dr. Hindmarch’s 1988 Olympic name tag. Others to mention in this huge lot include medals from the 1978 BC Summer Games, from the B.C. Festival of Sport, UBC Alumni vs. Japanese Oldtimers in 1980, and many more. Dr. Bob Hindmarch is quite a guy. He was a versatile athlete, and among his many accomplishments is being credited with helping start and establish the Man in Motion World Tour with Richk Hansen. He coached UBC's hockey team, was president of the B.C. Sports Federation, chairman of the Hockey Leadership Institute, director of the CAAA, is a trustee of the B.C. Sports Hall of Fame, and helped bring the Grizzlies to Vancouver. And then there was manager and assistant coach of the 1964 Canadian Olympic Hockey team and his involvement with different Olympics along the way. Just a great Canadian.
