Fantastic old school WHL jersey from the 1983 Memorial Cup Champions Portland Winterhawks. This particular jersey is just forn you if you like killer game wear, with about 6 team repairs on the right sleeve and a couple on the back, including a substantial repair. Marks and paint transfer are also found throughout. In 1982/83 Brian Curran wore this shirt during the season and through the Memorial Cup Championship. This is a season that saw Brian getting 31 points in 56 regular season games & 4 points in Memorial Cup play – he also landed 187 minutes in the penalty box during the season and 57 minutes in Cup play. Brian was one tough customer who was drafted in the 2nd Round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft by the Boston Bruins and went on to play over 400 games in the NHL where the tough guy play continued as he sat for over 1500 minutes in the penalty box in the NHL as well. The following season 1983/84 this very same shirt was worn by Craig Butz who played another 68 games in this jersey and also spent considerable time in the penalty box – 255 minutes to be precise. Tough guy collectors MUST have this shirt! You won't be disappointed.
