Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2013
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2013
A two-time 50-goal scorer with the Montreal Canadiens, Stephane Richer wore his familiar number 44 with the Pittsburgh Penguins in his last NHL season. Richer had 13 goals and 12 assists for 25 points in 58 games with the Penguins when he was traded to New Jersey on March 19, 2002. Richer’s 2001-02 Penguins game-worn jersey has the team’s Game Worn Authentic patch sewn in the back of the neck, signed in black marker by equipment manager Steve Latin. Part of Richer’s number “44” written in black marker shows on the size 56 flag tag that pokes out of the bottom of the team patch. The customized sleeves have elasticized cuffs and game wear shows in black marks and a dot of red paint transfer on the modernized Penguins crest on the front, black marks and board burns on the sleeves and marks on the numbers on the back.
